El Ideal in Silay: Mango Shake and More
Surviving the tests of time, El Ideal Bakery and Refreshments stands strong in the heart of Silay City in Negros Occidental.
Established in the 1920′s by Mr. Cesar Locsin y Lacson, it’s the best place to rest and unwind after visiting and looking at all the old houses and museums in the city. A historical landmark in itself, the family-run business is a definite must-visit.

Fruit Punch by Bob’s Bacolod
I’ve heard from friends that Bob’s fruit punch is something I should write about here. Well, I’m glad to say that during my last Bacolod trip, I was able to visit Bob’s and I agree – this one’s a definite must-try.
It’s basically a watermelon punch with chunks of pineapple, peach, watermelon and bits of buko. I was not able to fully deconstruct the ingredients, but I promise to do next time.
