The photo above came from a gigantic watermelon that was once brought home by my Dad. It’s got to be the biggest watermelon I’ve seen in my life.

I blogged about it here, just in case you want to read the story.

So how do I make my homemade watermelon shakes? It’s so easy and there’s no real secret to it.

Just put some crushed ice and watermelons in a blender. Add sugar until you reach your desired sweetness.

By the way, did you know that watermelons are low in calories and high in lycopene, which is said to be a powerful antioxidant. It is also high in vitamin C and A in the form of beta carotene as well as potassium.

Now that’s more reasons for you to drink watermelon shakes. Salud!
