Dark Berry Mocha Frappuccino by Starbucks

It’s been awhile since I went to Starbucks and my visit last Thursday gave me the opportunity to try their Dark Berry Mocha Frappuccino. At first, I thought that the ‘berry’ in the drink referred to strawberries but later on, I found out that it’s actually black raspberries they’re using.

I am not a big fan of raspberries to be honest, but I said to myself, “What the heck! I might as well try it.”

And so as I made my first few gulps, I couldn’t help but dislike the strong flavor of the berry in my mouth. Good thing though that the mocha flavor was there for the after taste.

Like many things new and unfamiliar, it takes for the palate quite a few more sips before one acquires the taste of this drink. And halfway through, I found myself comfortable and enjoying my dark berry mocha frappuccino.

Would I order it again? I don’t know, maybe when I’m feeling adventurous again.

I fell in love with this beverage immediately, but was saddened to learn today that they are no longer doing it. It’s a very sad day indeed and I long for them to change their minds and bring back the dark berry mocha.

Hi Mike. Yeah, it’s just a seasonal drink. But if many customers would request, I’m sure they’ll bring it back. :D

supposedly they will be bringing out the dark berry syrup to purchase in Starbucks so you can make your own!

i am gutted too, i searched the whole of Glasgow to find if any were still making them and i managed to find one Starbucks was still doing it, but the next week i went back and it was off the menu. I drove 10 miles for it as well……………….
